HELP FUND MHS STUDENTS’ TRIP TO JAPAN!!! Back talking with Mrs. Ebony, an HISD/NES-A teacher as she discusses with us the harsh reality of trying to secure funds for a school trip to Japan for her students. While other schools effortlessly enjoy the opportunity to go on similar journeys, Mrs. Ebony's students are left in the cold battling against a system that seemingly favors the privileged. The stark divide between the "haves" and the "have-nots" becomes painfully evident as the district's refusal to fund the trip sends a clear message: children in underserved communities are undeserving of enriching educational experiences. Mrs. Ebony continues her relentless fight against this injustice as she and her students refuse to accept that their dreams should be dictated by their zip code.
